Vacation Bible School "Beach Party" July 14 – 18, 2008 9:00 AM – 12: 30 – Preschool Children 9:00 AM – 12:45 PM – Grade School Children

For children who are age 4 by July 1, through children
who have completed 5th grade this year. There is no cost.

Kids will visit an exciting beach where they will learn the basics of surfing, riding the wave of God’s love, and go home with a new “Beach Be-Attitude.”

Be Obedient, Be Kind, Be Forgiving, Be Bold and Believe are the essential “Beach Be-Attitudes” that through Surfin Scripture teachings, will be the basis of this week’s lessons.

With each day, surfers will meet at the Surf’s Up! assembly and from there visit different activity centers around the “beach”. They will experience a Bible truth at the Scripture Scene, learn tunes at Sound Waves, make great beach souvenirs at Beachcomber Crafts, run off energy at Rockin’ Rec and eat tasty snacks at the Snack Shack. Each day ends with Reflection Time, where the children review all that has happened during the day.

VBS “Lifeguard” training for Grade School Lay Ministers, Sunday, April 6, 12:30pm, room 229, Falls Church campus. Lunch provided. All materials for VBS 2008 will be distributed at this meeting. If you plan to work with grade school children in VBS this summer, you will want to attend. RSVP: Layton McCann
